The excitement begins as you meet up with your local guide at the port terminal and enjoy a scenic, 1 hour ride out to Pisa. Upon arrival you and your guide will walk along the ancient city walls up to Porta Santa Maria for your first look at the beautiful Piazza Dei Miracoli with its stunning white marble and green grass.
Once in the square you will visit all the landmarks including the Cathedral and the Baptistry. While in the square you will make your way to the Leaning Tower at the confirmed time on your entrance ticket. This tower took hundreds of years to construct and is famous for its 4 degree tilt thanks to the shifting soil underneath. Walk up the tower's nearly 300 circular steps and be rewarded at the top with breathtaking views of the square and the surrounding city below. While up here your balance will be tested, but not to worry as there are safety rails. Be sure to have your camera! We recommend wearing, comfortable, seasonal clothing that is weather appropriate along with comfortable walking shoes. For those wishing to visit any churches, remember that shoulders and knees must be covered. There are approximately 360 steps to climb in the Tower to reach the top
Restrictions
The parking is located 700 meters from Miracle Square. For safety reasons, children under 8 years old CANNOT climb up the Leaning Tower of Pisa. All children between 8 and 18 can climb the Tower with an accompanying adult. The Cathedral in Miracle Square is closed on Sundays, during special events and mass services. Photography is not permitted inside the Cathedral. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the only entrance fee included in this tour. There are 284 steps to the top. Long lines can be experienced. Please note that times can be subject to change due to traffic. Guests must be able to step on and off bus. This tour is not wheelchair accessible.

In that role, Mr. Miller was responsible for contributing to Abercrombie & Kent's international growth through the development and acquisition of tour products and travel experiences around the world with a specific focus on cruising and land based experiences. Prior to joining Abercrombie & Kent, Mr. Miller held a variety of executive positions with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises for more than a decade. These positions included Vice President of Guest Sales & Service, Vice President of Brand Development, and Vice President of Onboard Revenue (which included shore excursions). Mr. Miller also led Celebrity Expeditions, a collection of outstanding and unique tours around the World.
Michael Bonner
Mr. Bonner has over a decade of experience working in the cruise industry in a variety of roles for both Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Viking River Cruises. Most recently, Mr. Bonner was the Chief Operating Officer for The Scholar Ship, a Royal Caribbean program aimed at providing college students onboard educational programs in conjunction with enriching shore excursions around the world. Mr. Bonner also helped co-manage Viking River Cruises U.S. Operations, and he ran the corporate, strategic, and deployment planning functions at Royal Caribbean.
